That is the goal, for me and my clients.  I have been working in the fitness industry for 17 years (certifications in Pilates, Personal Training, Kickboxing, Step, Aerobics), but have been involved in exercise and outdoor activities for over thirty years.  I have a BS in education and an MA in learning handicaps.  Combining my passion for education, exercise, and steadfastness mixed with variety, has led me to be a part of opening our own studio, Pilates Influence, in 2007.

Josi Riley
Josie Riley has been an educator in movement therapies for over 20 years including, Pilates, Personal Training, Yoga and Classical Ballet. He is a licensed Acupuncturist, Polestar Certified Pilates Instructor, NFPT Certified Personal Trainer and former owner of Pilates of Santa Cruz, CA. Josie is a former world class pole-vaulter competing internationally, qualified for the Olympic trials in 1976 and 1980.

Kathy Grimes
Having been a professional dancer, I came to Pilates because of an injury. I was told I should stop dancing, but fortunately found a Pilates Instructor who helped me get back to performing. Since then I have studied with different Pilates teachers, Physical Therapists and movement experts to helping others who, through age or injury, thought they had to give up their active lives. I am certified through Physical Mind and Body Arts, have helped set up Pilates programs for the Honolulu Athletic Club and LA Fitness, as well as owned my own studio in Redondo Beach. Helping people get back to an active lifestyle is what I love doing.

Jami Jones
Pilates started transforming my life about 3 years ago when my whole family started to take Pilates sessions. After a year of dedicated training I knew this was a profession for me.
